Die Menschenwürde gilt für Alle – auch für Geflüchtete!

Mit einem Appell wenden sich 154 Organisationen gegen die Debatte der letzten Wochen um Kürzungen bei sozialrechtlichen Leistungen für Geflüchtete. In dieser Diskussion spiele man Gruppen gegeneinander aus und suggeriere, die Geflüchteten seien die Ursache für Mißstände wie den Mangel an Wohnraum oder fehlende Schulplätze. Auch die Behauptung, Menschen könne man von der Flucht abhalten, indem man hier die Sozialleistungen kürze, sei falsch.

Stattdessen wird gefordert: „Es kann nicht zweierlei Maß für die Menschenwürde geben. Wir fordern das gleiche Recht auf Sozialleistungen für alle in Deutschland lebenden Menschen, ohne diskriminierende Unterschiede. Das Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz muss abgeschafft werden. Die Betroffenen müssen in das reguläre Sozialleistungssystem einbezogen werden.“

Unterzeichnet haben den Appell u.a. der Deutsche Caritasverband e.V., die Diakonie Deutschland und der Paritätische Gesamtverband.
